Happy Bike to Work Day!  I hope it's nice enough outside for you to celebrate!  I, however, work from home and don't have enough room in the house to Tokyo Drift around the living room.  Plus, I think it would freak out the cats.

Happy Pizza Party Day!  You guys, this is a big day.  Pizza is pretty much the best food to ever be invented.  Our go-to is always a thin crust with extra cheese and pepperoni.  Perfection!  Is anyone else going to celebrate today?

Happy World Asthma Day! I've actually had Asthma since I was 5 and always carry my little red inhaler with me, just in case.  Apparently there's a Global Initiative for Asthma and they're doing some really great stuff about management and prevention ^_^  I'm glad they do what they do!

Happy Free Comic Book Day!  Get your booty down to your local comic shop and pick up some free goodies!  My favorite shops are Third Eye Comics in Annapolis, MD and Austin Books and Comics in Austin, TX.  Go check out what your shop's got for free and grab a couple more things to help support local business.  Woo!

Happy Space Day!!!

The first Friday of every May is Space Day.  I've been completely fascinated with space since I was little girl.   I drew pictures of what my spaceship would look like and dream of visiting Mars, because it's obviously the coolest.  Andy and I used to visit the National Air and Space Museum on The Mall in DC all the time and we took a field trip out to Udvar-Hazy to see Endeavor.  I even went to see the Beyond exhibit in DC twice and pretty much just wept at every photo, thinking about the vastness of our universe and absolutely phenomenal it all is.

Also, please watch the new Cosmos show.  It's incredible.
