Thrifty Thursday: New Bohemia

New Bohemia
address : 1606 S. Congress Ave., Austin, TX 78704
hours :  Sunday - Saturday: 11pm - 10pm

Last week, we talked about New BROhemia, the men's vintage shop, and this week, we're hopping over to their sister shop New Bohemia for lady clothes!  It's located on South Congress Ave, which is a popular spot in Austin.  Full of tourists and locals, South Congress has some amazing food and equally amazing shopping.  New Bohemia is one of the handful of vintage boutiques you'll find on the main drag.  Specializing in women's clothing, this spot is chock full of goodness!  Take a look...

When I walked in, I wasn't prepared for how big it was going to be!  It's such a large space, but is decorated and arranged in a way that it doesn't seem like a warehouse.  The staff is super nice, too.  Eric, who also works over at New BROhemia, was friendly and welcoming.
They've got a great selection of boots, arranged by size.  This photo shows half of the collection which doesn't even include the boots that are incorporated into the displays around the shop.  There's lots of fun colored boots!  I need a pink pair, STAT!
SO. MANY. DRESSES.  There were so many dresses here that I needed.  Just, as a necessity in life.
Along with the tons of clothes, New Bohemia has a few accessories and home decor items.  There's also a bit of jewelry in the glass cases and on stands that are incorporated into the displays.  I picked up the cutest little pair of pink earrings ^_^
So many patterns!  The clothing is organized into type.  Like crazy 80s & 90s patterned dresses.  The next couple of photos demonstrate some of the super fun sections.
This whole rack is just red, white and blue!  I wanted at least 70% of this rack.  Bandana dress?  Drop-waist blue tank dress?  Yes and yes!
It's all in the details here.  Here's a whole rack of ruffled peasant dresses.  How adorable are they?

If you're visiting Austin and hanging out down on South Congress, and you love vintage, stop in here.  There's a huge selection and the staff is friendly.  I dare you to not find something to get!
